Malware Bytes is okay, however, after something like.. 30 days some of the features are nerfed because they now want you to buy their premium service. Same With SpyBot Search & Destroy. I use a combination of many things because I work in the security field and I know what I like. I use a Combination of CCleaner, Microsoft Security Essentials/Windows Defender (if Win 8-8.1, then Defender and MSE more or less combined. Using the same GUI as MSE), MBAM and Spybot. Those are what I use for my home network. On the job I use all kinds of other tools.

Both AVG and MB are good, but not for the same reason!

I've found AVG to be very user-friendly and easy to use passively to detect shady stuff in new files.

Malwarebytes meanwhile, I use whenever I actually scan my files, for it is far superior.

Just reinstall the game and dont touch anything. Turn off antivirus before opening the launcher.
It works for me. I use AVira.

GG itself is a rootkit, so it does trip off some anti-viruses. I highly suggest you sandbox your GG (if you know how), saving you the trouble of getting rid of it when you uninstall PSO2.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW, DON'T DO IT.

I've screwed up sandboxing it before, and it took me weeks to restore all the damage done.

I've occasionally stumbled upon weird driver names when working on things on my system and found that it was GG related.  It really roots itself deeply into the system, most driver based anticheats seem to dig in pretty far.
